FAQ
What is Coaching?
The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching this way: "Professional Coaching is an ongoing partnership that helps clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life." I explain to friends “you know how many people are unhappy with where they are in life? Well, as a life coach, I help them design and create the life they love.”

What Can I Expect from A Typical Session?
In the simplest scenario, you and I schedule a time to talk once a week. If you are not in my local area this would be by phone. You set the agenda with a weekly prepared form sent to me in advance. In session, I ask objective, probing, but supportive questions to help you get clarity, set reasonable goals and follow through to completion. Often there are assignments, which require some action in between sessions, and these are reviewed and refined during the next session. The format and timing varies with the client. I am very flexible, and you are in charge, but what seems to work best for most clients is a 50-minute session once a week, for 12 weeks (12 sessions). You can also work a contract for every other week with a 6-month commitment.
